The National Center of Calligraphic Arts
The national center of calligraphy arts is a specialized center, created within the national institute of the heritage under supervision of the ministry for the culture and the protection of the inheritance.
The center is placed in a historic building of the XIX century (1852) mausoleum of Sidi Chih located at the medina of Tunis place-el Halfaouine.
Attributions of the center are:
• To train specialists in Arab penmanship
• To preserve the styles and artistic forms of penmanship
• To sit, to propagate and promote these styles in Tunisia in collaboration with the similar institutions in the Arab and Islamic world.
• To organize the training courses, the ;meetings and the seminars as regards penmanship
• To organize exhibitions and to assure a permanent animation
The center opened its doors with the followers, amateurs and professionals of penmanship in February 1999.
Since, it organized many exhibitions and courses trainings and workshops of applications as regards penmanship.
The koufi, the Neskhi, the Rekaa, the Thuluth, the Diwanim, the Farsi and the Magherbi are as any types of penmanship taught in the center assured and animated by eminent trainers and calligraphers.
The center also organizes days of studies and conferences and meetings with assist and take part, of the specialist and amateurs calligraphers
Le Centre National de la Calligraphie
Le centre national de la calligraphie est un centre spécialisé, crée au sein de l’institut National du patrimoine sous tutelle du ministère de la culture et de la protection du Patrimoine.
Le centre est logé dans un monument historique du XIXéme siècle (1852), le mausolée de Sidi Ali Chiha. Située au cœur de la médina de Tunis place El-Halfaouine.
Les attributions du centre sont :
• Former des spécialistes en calligraphie arabe
• Préserver les styles et les formes artistiques de la calligraphie
• Asseoir, propager et promouvoir ces styles en Tunisie en collaboration, avec les institutions similaires dans le monde arabe et islamique
• Organiser les stages, les rencontres et les séminaires en matière de calligraphie
• Organiser des expositions et assurer une animation permanente
Le centre a ouvert ses portes aux adeptes, amateurs et professionnels de la calligraphie en mois de Février 1990.
Depuis, il a organisé de nombreuses expositions et sessions de formations et des ateliers d’applications en matière de calligraphie.
Le Koufi, le Neskhi, le Rekaa, le Thuluth, le Diwani, le Fersi et le maghrebi sont autant de types de calligraphes.
Le centre organise également des journées d’études des conférences et des rencontres aux quelles assistent et participent des spécialistes et amateurs calligraphes.
