The central library of the INP provides readers with a reference material in the field of archaeological, historical, ethnographic and museum. Covering all periods from prehistory to modern times, the fund consists of books, periodicals, conference proceedings, academic works, conference proceedings, exhibition catalogs, etc.. The library is open to researchers and academics.

Archives
The archives contain administrative records relating to scientific and prestigious sites such as Carthage, Sbeïtla, Bulla Regia-, Gight, Dougga, etc.. This excavation permits, programming, search rescue, site development, record restoration, monographs, records classification Medinas: Tunis, Sfax, Sousse,Kairouan, etc.. The photographic archives contain a fund of about one hundred thousand images (100,000) that offer a rich literature on the Tunisian cities, historical monuments, sites and archaeological and ethnographic objects.
